Research Fellows Call

Deadline:

About This Call

The DuMonde Research Fellowship is our primary mechanism for expanding the platform's intellectual community. Fellows contribute original research that advances the understanding of emotional governance, polarization dynamics, or ethical frameworks in public discourse. The fellowship is designed for researchers at any career stage who demonstrate both analytical rigor and a commitment to making their work accessible and applicable.

The 2025 cohort will focus on three priority themes: the role of institutional emotional repertoires in policy resilience, diagnostic methods for emerging forms of digital polarization, and cross-cultural approaches to ethical framing analysis. Proposals addressing these themes will receive priority consideration, though strong proposals on any topic within DuMonde's scope are welcome.

What We Offer

Fellows receive editorial and methodological support from DuMonde's core team, access to our computational lab tools, structured peer review of their work, and publication on the DuMonde platform. The fellowship is a twelve-month appointment with the expectation of producing at least one working paper and participating in the broader DuMonde research community through peer review and seminar engagement.

How to Apply

Submit a research proposal (1,500 words maximum), a writing sample (published or unpublished), and a brief CV. Proposals should articulate a clear research question, a feasible methodology, and the anticipated contribution to DuMonde's mission. Applications are reviewed by the editorial board following the deadline.
