Digital polarisation is structural, not incidental.

Europe's information space is shaped by algorithmic incentives, geopolitical asymmetries, and affective dynamics that reinforce one another. The scientific literature documents them. The institutional response does not yet integrate them.

Cognitive defence is not a metaphor.

It is a set of practices, tools, and competencies that can be taught, audited, and assessed. DuMonde Lab works on its operationalisation for European institutional contexts.

Research is not enough. Translation is the work.

Between the academic paper and the policy decision there is a gap. Our focus is that gap: converting findings into diagnostic frameworks, tools, and training that institutions can actually use.

Understand. See. Act.

Three connected lines of work: research that maps the mechanisms, tools that make them verifiable, training that translates both into institutional capacity.
